Plot

In the blistering summer of 2005, a mysterious parcel arrived unannounced at the Hollywood stronghold of Highway 61 Entertainment. Originating from London and bearing no return address, the package contained two mini-cassette audio tapes, hauntingly labeled "The Last Testament of George Harrison" and dated December 30, 1999. The voice, a chilling echo of Harrison's own, unfolds a tale that strikes at the heart of Beatlemania: the alleged death of Paul McCartney in a November 1966 car crash and his subsequent replacement by a lookalike. In this intriguing mockumentary spoof of the infamous "Paul Is Dead" theories, the voice from the tapes delves into a clandestine operation by British intelligence, MI5. The Beatles, it claims, were compelled to conceal McCartney's demise to avert an anticipated wave of mass suicides among their fan base. The surviving Beatles, however, endeavored to communicate the truth through an intricate web of clues woven into album covers and song lyrics. The voice narrates a gripping account of a perilous cat-and-mouse game with "Maxwell," the Beatles' MI5 handler, as John Lennon grew increasingly reckless with the secret, ultimately leading to his assassination in 1980 when he threatened to expose the imposter "Paul McCartney." The "Paul is Dead" mystery, once dismissed as a mere hoax, is re-examined in this film as Highway 61 Entertainment scrutinizes this new narrative of the conspiracy to conceal McCartney's untimely death. This unauthorized documentary presents previously unearthed evidence, painting a shocking portrait of a secret Beatles history. Chronicling McCartney's fatal accident, the cover-up, and the revelation of numerous undisclosed clues, the voice on the tapes may well represent the most crucial document in rock and roll history. As the tale unfolds, it leaves one with the unnerving conclusion that Paul McCartney really is dead!
