Plot

Meet Harry Sterndale (Chris Rea), an unfortunate shutterbug whose career never quite developed. When life delivers him a raw deal, a cancer diagnosis with a mere three months to live, he decides to turn the lens on those who've wronged him throughout his life. What follows is a darkly comedic journey of revenge and redemption. Harry, once a silent victim, becomes an orchestrator of poetic justice, choosing to exit this world not with a whimper, but with an explosive bang. Framed by a star-studded ensemble including Ben Kingsley, Bob Hoskins, and John Cleese, this hilarious black comedy explores the paradoxes of life, death, and the human instinct for retribution. With nothing to lose, Harry sets his sights on everyone who's ever crossed him - from the unfaithful wife to the opportunist friend who pilfered his ideas. In a twist of fate, Harry finds love amidst his spree of vengeance with Jill Saunders (Felicity Kendal), and even hires an assassin to ensure his exit is as dramatic as the lives he's unsettled. However, Harry's master plan is thrown into chaos when he discovers an unsettling truth - his cancer diagnosis was a mistake. Now, not only does he have an assassin on his tail, but also several policemen keen on discussing some recent murders. "Parting Shots" is a rollicking ride of unexpected turns, examining the lengths one man will go to settle old scores, and the comedic calamity that ensues when his death sentence is abruptly revoked. As Harry navigates his new lease on life, audiences are left to ponder - can one truly get away with living life like there's no tomorrow?
