Plot

In the aftermath of World War II, a French military tribunal assembles to delve into an incident shrouded in the war's shadowy past. The summoned witnesses are predominantly French, with the exception of one American. They are called to testify about an event that occurred in 1940 when France's surrender to the Germans was imminent. Amidst this chaos, a group of resilient soldiers, mainly from the French Foreign Legion, defied surrender, entrenching themselves in a rural farmhouse and challenging the German forces. Their commanding officer, Capt. Armand Dupree, proposed surrender, only to be branded a coward by his men who persisted in their resistance until a surrender was commanded. When the Armistice was called, some of these men, now prisoners of war in German camps, managed to escape, aligning themselves with various resistance factions. Enter the American, Peter Forrester. Fluent in languages and familiar with both Germany and France due to his pre-war residencies, he enlists in the US Army. His unique skills don't go unnoticed, and he's soon tapped by US Intelligence to embark on a covert mission behind enemy lines in occupied France. With his acceptance, the veil lifts on Operation Secret, a mission that will test their courage, loyalty, and determination against the backdrop of a war-torn world.
