In the dusty heart of Santa Clarita, California, siblings Otis and Emerald Haywood wrestle with the harsh realities of their inherited legacy: the Haywood Hollywood Horses horse-handling business. Following the loss of their father in a bizarre accident involving objects raining from the heavens, the Haywood siblings are ensnared in a battle to keep their family ranch from sinking into oblivion. In a desperate bid to salvage their livelihood, Otis strikes an unexpected alliance with Ricky Park, a troubled former child star and the current owner of the enigmatic Jupiter's Claim theme park. However, the winds of fate are shifting, and a tempest of the extraordinary is looming on the horizon. When Otis experiences what he believes to be a close encounter of the second kind, fear and fascination intertwine. Propelled by a morbid curiosity, he recruits the expertise of Angel Torres, a tech-whizz electronics salesperson, and Antlers Holst, a renowned cinematographer, in a daring attempt to document the inexplicable.
