Kate, a whiz in the kitchen, runs her house with no attitude and no fuss. She captivates and intimidates those around her. She powers through things and is sent to therapy to make her easier to get along with. Her sister unexpectedly dies, leaving her in the care of her ten-year-old niece. As she struggles to take on a parenting role, the kitchen hires a loosely trained Italian chef, Nick, who threatens to take over her integral role at work. What happens when sparks fly between the two?
