Chuck Lumley, previously a Wall Street whiz-kid, trades his high-stress finance job for the seemingly peaceful role of a morgue attendant, hoping to escape the relentless demands of city life and spend more time with his neurotic fiancée, Charlotte Koogle. However, life throws him a curveball when he's reassigned to the night shift, a disruption that introduces him to his new partner, the volatile and eccentric William Blazejowski or "Billy Blaze". Billy, an unstoppable chatterbox with a mind teeming with questionable get-rich-quick schemes, turns Chuck's world upside down. When Chuck strikes up an unlikely friendship with Belinda Keaton, a kind-hearted hooker who lives next door, he's plunged into a world he never imagined. Belinda and her friends are left vulnerable after the sudden death of their pimp, and Billy, ever the opportunist, sees this as a chance for his latest harebrained plan - to transform their quiet morgue into a bustling night-time brothel.
