Night of the Creeps (1986)

In the year 1959, an alien experiment hurtles from the cosmos, crash-landing on Earth, a spectacle mistaken for a falling star by college sweethearts, Pam and Johnny. As their curiosity piques, they are cautioned by Pam's ex-lover, Officer Ray Cameron, about a lurking ax murderer in the vicinity. Unfazed, Johnny ventures alone into the woods to find the "star," only to encounter a slug-like creature that takes him as its unwilling host. Fast forward to 1986, at the heart of Corman University, where best friends Chris and J.C., a wheelchair user, navigate the trials of college life. Chris is smitten with the enigmatic Cynthia Cronenberg, the girlfriend of arrogant frat boy Brad. To win Cynthia's heart, Chris and J.C. pledge to Brad's fraternity, unknowingly setting off a chain of events that will change their lives forever. Brad's initiation task, a morbid prank involving a corpse, leads them to the university's Med School Laboratory. Here, they stumble upon the preserved body of Johnny from 1959, frozen in a cryogenic chamber. Terrified yet intrigued, they release the body but abandon it in a state of panic. This act triggers the unthinkable - Johnny's reanimation and the release of parasitic slugs that possess their hosts and morph them into bloodthirsty zombies. As the campus descends into chaos, seasoned detective Ray Cameron is drawn back into the fray. Initially dismissing the ordeal as a student prank, he soon discerns the horrific truth—the once vibrant campus is now a breeding ground for the undead. "Night of the Creeps" weaves a chilling tale of extraterrestrial experiments, frat-boy pranks gone wrong, and an unlikely hero battling a zombie invasion.
