As the school bell tolls its final echo for the year, young Nicolas and his family, including his cantankerous grandmother, eagerly embark on their much-anticipated summer vacation. The destination? The charming Hotel Beau-Rivage, nestled by the azure embrace of the seaside. The salt air and sand-dusted paths promise a holiday of adventure and unexpected friendships. Nicolas swiftly finds himself amidst a motley crew of companions, each unique in their quirks. There's Blaise, the local lad who's never on holiday, and Fructueux, the jovial gourmand who finds delight in every morsel, even fish. Djodjo, the pint-sized Englishman, converses in his own distinctive lilt, while the perpetually teary-eyed Crépin and the obstinate Côme, forever insisting on his correctness, add to the vibrant mix. Yet, it's the doe-eyed Isabelle, with her intense gaze and an air of worry, who truly captivates Nicolas. Misunderstandings and rumours abound as Nicolas becomes convinced his parents seek to betroth him to Isabelle. As the summer sun beams down on their seaside escapades, the band of holidaymakers find themselves entangled in a series of comedic blunders and innocent misadventures. Love seems to be on the horizon, and the air is thick with the promise of unforgettable memories.
