In a sleepy suburban afternoon, a woman's mundane existence is jolted awake by the unexpected intrusion of a handsome young fugitive leaping over her garden fence. Fleeing the law, he pleads for her to conceal him. To her own astonishment, she obliges. As the police come and leave, an undeniable sexual tension sparks between them, a flame that might have ignited further, if not for an interruption at the front door.
Her relationship with her daughter is on shaky ground, a situation that worsens when the daughter introduces her new beau - the very same man who had sought refuge in their garden days earlier. Despite the shock, the woman and the young man masterfully play along, pretending to be strangers while an unresolved tension hangs heavily between them.
