Plot

In the heart of New York City, two childhood comrades find themselves wrestling with the trials of adulthood. Ray, the rhythmic backbone of a rock 'n' roll ensemble, and Owen, a budding filmmaker, find their dreams obscured by a haze of mundane jobs and ceaseless nights of drinking. When Owen's engagement to Lynn shatters, his life spirals into chaos, drawing Ray into an unplanned adventure to a small-scale film festival in the heartland of Kansas. As Owen grapples with his crumbling relationship, he makes numerous attempts to mend the fragmented pieces of his love life. Meanwhile, Ray, with his flair for mischief, finesses them into a luxurious suite at the revered Four Seasons hotel. Posing as the son of Wally Shawn, a celebrated figure receiving a lifetime achievement award, Ray stirs up a whirlwind of uproar. As the chaos unfolds, Owen is prompted to reevaluate his life and his bond with Ray. This tale of friendship, heartbreak, and self-discovery takes us on a rollercoaster ride through the highs and lows of life, promising a heartwarming end where Owen finally resolves to make pivotal changes in his life and relationships.
