Mutant World (2014)

In the quiet region of eastern Pennsylvania, a man named Marcus has always been fixated on the inevitable end of the world. He has prepared for this cataclysm, instilling a sense of urgency and survival in his adult children, Geoff and Melissa, and a small group of followers. However, Melissa, with a secret rebellion against the arduous "soldier" training, finds solace in singing in the church choir. The family's preparedness is tested when a massive radioactive meteor crashes into their area. Marcus, tragically caught outside the secure bunker, is left to face the disaster alone while Geoff, Melissa, and the rest of the group manage to find safety inside. Fast forward ten years, the bunker survivors, ignorant of the world beyond their stronghold, are forced to venture out due to a malfunctioning exterior solar panel critical for their survival. A brave team, including Geoff and Melissa, steps into the unknown, not only to repair the panel but to examine their ravaged surroundings. Emerging into what once was their home, they find a harsh desert wasteland, seemingly stripped of all life. However, they soon discover that the radioactivity, though dissipated, has morphed the survivors into lethal mutants of varying degrees, determined by their exposure level to the fallout. In their struggle against the mutant threat, they receive unexpected assistance from a preacher and learn of a sanctuary named Haven in this post-apocalyptic world. A glimmer of hope in the desolation, Haven could provide them a chance to survive outside their bunker. Now, they must navigate through the mutant-infested landscape, which may include familiar faces from their past, and find their way to Haven. "Mutant World" is a gripping tale of survival, resilience and hope as a group of individuals confront the aftermath of a meteor apocalypse, battling not only deadly mutants but also the haunting shadows of their past.
