Chronicling the lives of different generations of mothers on Mother's Day, Sandy is divorced and happy until she realizes her ex married a younger woman. Sisters Jesse and Gabi are not impressed when their mother cannot fathom how one is a lesbian and one is married to a man of color. Miranda has no kids, and hopes it stays that way. Kristin likes being a new mom, but not the pressure from her partner to eventually get married. Bradley is trying to be a good parent as his wife passed away.
