Plot

In the bustling heart of Los Angeles, the world of Al McCord, an unassuming man of 53, becomes entwined with the intriguing allure of youth when he crosses paths with the vivacious Ellie in his favourite haunt. An innocent request for a ride spirals into a vivid journey into the sun-drenched expanse of the Mojave Desert, a place where Ellie's mother, Julie, resides. Unbeknownst to Al, as Ellie's affections for him blossom amidst the desert sands, his own heart is captivated by Julie's enigmatic charm, setting a complex triangle of love against the stark desert backdrop. Adding to the labyrinth of emotions is Julie's unpredictable boyfriend, a powder keg of volatility looming ominously in the periphery. His presence weaves an undercurrent of tension, threatening to explode at any given moment. Al finds himself in the eye of a whirlwind of bizarre, laugh-inducing circumstances, pushing him to search for answers amidst the chaos. But as he navigates the desert's eccentricities, he discovers a chilling secret - a lifeless body stowed away in the trunk of his car. "Mojave Moon" is a rollercoaster ride of humor, suspense, and romance, taking Al's ordinary existence and turning it upside down in the arid heart of the Mojave. As he uncovers the desert's secrets, Al realizes that his life, once predictable as the city, mirrors the unpredictable wildness of the desert, and may never be the same again.
