Bowing to paternal pressure, John embarks on the path to the monastery. Yet, as he journeys, his heart sways, and he rewrites his script, opting instead for the earthy allure of farm life. Subsequently, he takes a wife and they welcome a child into their world. His father, meanwhile, spends his days cloaked in expectation, scanning the processions of monks in the hope of spotting his son among them. The moment of truth arrives when John, accompanied by his wife and child, returns to his father.
