In the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, mobster kingpin Willis Trent, upon learning about the exceptional talent of locksmith Tommy Dancer, ensnares him in his nefarious plans. A casual meet-up at a bowling alley escalates into Trent inviting Tommy to a party, where he crosses paths with the affluent and captivating Betty Turner. Their chance meeting sparks an intense attraction, leading to an impromptu date and the unforeseen entanglement of Betty in a dangerous game. The plot thickens as Trent reveals his sinister request - for Tommy to fashion a key to safe deposit box no. 315 in the Hollywood Bank. The box, owned by rival criminal and gambling tycoon Paul De Camp, holds a staggering two hundred thousand dollars of illicit money. Initially, Tommy resists the lure of Trent's five-thousand-dollar offer, but the stakes are raised when Trent threatens to disfigure the innocent Betty, forcing Tommy's hand. Driven by fear for Betty's safety, Tommy embarks on a nerve-racking mission. He enters the bank, his heart pounding as he meticulously crafts the key, successfully accessing the vault to the tune of two hundred grand. However, Trent's greed knows no bounds. He kidnaps Betty, demanding the pilfered money as ransom. "Man in the Vault" is a thrilling journey through a world of crime and suspense, where the line between right and wrong is blurred and love becomes a pawn in a deadly game. Will Tommy manage to navigate this treacherous landscape and save both his love and himself? The answer lies in the shadowy recesses of the vault.
