Plot

In the shimmering spotlight of Hollywood, Paul Toombes thrives as a celebrated actor, renowned for his chilling portrayal of the darkly hypnotic character, Dr. Death. This spine-tingling franchise, penned by his confidante Herbert Flay, witnesses a horrific twist when Paul's fiancée is slain in a manner eerily reminiscent of Dr. Death's on-screen victims. The gruesome reality sends Paul spiraling into a nervous breakdown, landing him in the cold confines of a mental institution. As the years wax and wane, Paul's shattered psyche begins to mend, and he emerges from his institutionalized cocoon. In a bid to resurrect Paul's career and the legacy of Dr. Death, Herbert tempts him with an invitation to the historic city of London. There, they intend to breathe new life into their old creation through a captivating television series. However, as they delve back into the world of Dr. Death, the bloodcurdling murders from their franchise begin to bleed into reality once more. Cast and crew members fall prey to horrifying deaths, mirroring the gruesome fates of characters from Toombes' past films. With each chilling echo of art imitating life, Scotland Yard's accusing finger points unwaveringly towards Paul, making him their prime suspect. As the line between fiction and reality blurs, the question lingers - is Paul Toombes truly the master of Dr. Death, or has he become the puppet in a macabre show of life imitating art?
