Plot

In the heart of Seattle, the life of lawyer Amy Myer is dictated by a time-line sketched out by her mother before her untimely death when Amy was just seven. This intricate map of life, extending even to the realm of love, suggests that Amy's seventh boyfriend would be her destined spouse. Despite sage counsel from her father Bernie, and her aunt Rachel and Uncle Ray, Amy remains unwavering, unwilling to commit to any of the first six promising suitors, including the seemingly flawless businessman, Daniel McCandles. Amy's orderly world spirals into disarray when she finds herself tumbling headfirst into love with suitor number six, a departure from her mother's prophetic timeline. As she grapples with her feelings, Amy agrees to accompany her good friend, the charmingly earnest bagel shop manager Connor, to a family wedding as his faux-fiancée. This decision is motivated more by a wish to keep Daniel as the potential, and lucky, number seven, rather than any romantic interest in Connor. However, as the wedding festivities unfold, Amy finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Peter, a man who challenges her stringent life schedule and the concept of predetermined destiny. Amy is left at the crossroads of love and logic, facing a dilemma that tests her loyalties - should she abide by her mother's meticulously charted plan and hold out for boyfriend number seven, or surrender to the unpredictable, yet exhilarating, rhythm of her own heart? This narrative juxtaposes the certainty of premeditated life with the chaos of love, tracing Amy's journey as she learns that life rarely adheres to our best-laid plans.
