Plot
The life of divorced father and comedian Louie C.K. is ample fodder for a dark comedy that focuses more on the comic vagaries of ordinary life than with strong ongoing plots. Louie sometimes struggles to connect with his darling children, but they offer him a reason to stay positive among depressing situations and ample fodder for his own stand-up routine. And the fact that he's divorced provides a uniquely awkward perspective on the dating life of a middle aged adult. But Louie's profession as a comedian allows him the space he needs to vent and work through his personal problem.
