In the heart of Brooklyn, two unlikely middle-school boys, Jake and Tony, find camaraderie amidst the concrete jungle. Hailing from one-child households, their paths cross when Jake's family relocates to his late grandfather's apartment, situated above Tony's mother's quaint dress shop. Tony, an outgoing soccer enthusiast with dreams of thespian glory, mirrors Jake's father, while Jake, a reserved budding artist, prefers the company of his sketchpad to the bustle of the city. Their bond, like a brightly woven fabric in Tony's mother's shop, is put to the ultimate test when Jake's parents inherit the building, tripling the rent in line with the neighborhood's gentrification. In response, the boys form a pact of silence, a quiet rebellion against the adult world's complexities. But can their silent defiance withstand the pressures of reality?
