Let the Right One In (2008)

A 12 year-old Oskar lives in Blackeberg with his mother. At school, he endures severe bullying from Conny and a group of boys. He later meets Eli, a girl that lives next door, but she scorns his offer of friendship. The two slowly bond over time, though, and Eli encourages Oskar to stand up for himself. Hakan takes care of Eli as a father figure. It turns out Eli is a vampire-like creature that must feast on blood to survive. Within a short period, Oskar learns this fact, and the two friends continue to bond. They must navigate their separate but connected lives day to day.
