Plot

In the murky shadows of her past, Anna Chen harbors a secret; her jealous husband discovered her clandestine reunion with her first love, leading to a fatal altercation. Emerging from a haze, Anna finds herself alone with her husband's lifeless body as police sirens start to wail in the distance. Seven years of prison life later, she learns of her mother's passing in far-off Seattle. The prison authorities grant her a three-day furlough to bid her mother a final, sorrowful adieu. Boarding a bus destined for Seattle, Anna finds herself isolated amidst a sea of strangers. The tranquility is broken by the hurried entrance of a man, short on time and money for a ticket. His eyes land on Anna, and with a confident stride and charming smile, he asks to borrow $30. This man is Hoon, a Korean immigrant with his own web of troubles, working as a gigolo and currently in flight from a vengeful husband of a wealthy client. This unexpected encounter marks the beginning of an extraordinary journey. Over the course of three unforgettable days, these two souls, marred by their pasts and uncertain of their futures, will share a bond that transcends their circumstances. Their seemingly divergent paths intertwine, promising a tale of unexpected companionship and poignant moments in the autumn of their lives.
