Plot

In the early hours of dawn, following a tense and lengthy discussion, Vittoria steps out of the apartment of her long-standing fiancé, Riccardo, leaving their life together behind. The words she leaves him with are simple: she no longer loves him. Yet, her emotions are a puzzle, a complex array of feelings she can't fully articulate. Riccardo, though shaken, accepts her decision with a heavy heart. Moving through the bustling heart of Rome, Vittoria seeks solace in the company of her mother, an avid stock market enthusiast who spends her days glued to the pulse of the Exchange. It's there that she encounters her mother's charismatic stockbroker, Piero. Piero is a youthful dynamo, driven by ambition and the thrill of the market. Amidst the chaos of a catastrophic trading day, a spark ignites between them. Despite initially resisting Piero's relentless pursuit, Vittoria finds herself drawn to his magnetism. Their attraction is palpable, a silent undercurrent that pulls them together even as Vittoria keeps him at arm's length. However, Piero's persistence gradually wears down her defenses, and she allows him into her life. As their relationship evolves, words and actions collide in a silent dance. Both Vittoria and Piero reveal parts of themselves, yet there's a lingering sense that their actions sometimes tell a different tale. The tale of an absent-minded translator and a materialistic broker intertwined in an enigmatic relationship, their story unfolds in the suburbs and stock exchanges of Rome, painting a vivid panorama of love, loss, and life's relentless pursuit.
