Karobaar (2000)

In the world of opulence and privilege resides Rajiv Sinha, while his childhood comrade, Amar Saxena, hails from the realm of the middle-class. United by shared interests and preferences, their bond is tried when they both fall for the same woman - Seema. Amar secures Seema's heart, despite Rajiv's attempts to sway her guardian with wealth. When Rajiv resorts to tarnishing Seema's reputation with scandalous tales of her upbringing by a woman of ill repute, Amar stands firm, marrying Seema and bringing her into his family. However, they face rejection and are asked to leave. The bond between Rajiv and Amar fractures, turning the once-close friends into bitter foes. Amar and Seema, though shunned, carve out a life for themselves, with Amar ascending the ranks to become a successful prosecution attorney. Their world takes an unexpected turn when news breaks of Rajiv being implicated in the murder of a young woman, Neelam Mehta.
