Plot

Buckling under the relentless pressure of debt, joblessness, and intensifying solitude, our protagonist, Jim, teeters on the brink of despair. Engaging in a solitary game of Russian roulette, he contemplates an unthinkable act of bloodshed, seeking to etch his presence into the world through violence. Suddenly, he is halted by an apparition of his late wife, who persuades him to channel his dwindling resources towards creation rather than destruction. Propelled by his wife's preserved eggs and newfound determination, Jim enlists the aid of a prominent biotech corporation. His mission? To forge an heir, engineered to surmount the challenges that ordinary men succumb to. Meanwhile, in the far-off future, Niskaa, a leader of genetically enhanced beings, governs a legion of worker clones in a hyper-industrialized, post-human Earth on the verge of decay. In his pursuit to rejuvenate his crumbling empire, Niskaa encounters a clone unlike any other. Possessing an extraordinary ability for rational thinking and empathy, this clone is mysteriously linked to Jim through shared dreams, revealing secrets of nature Niskaa had overlooked... In this gripping narrative of despair, hope, and determination, the past and future intertwine, blurring the lines between man and machine. As Jim and Niskaa grapple with their circumstances, a profound question arises: What truly defines humanity?
