Ollie's wife Gertrude dies giving birth to their daughter. His new responsibility as a single dad ends up costing him his job as a music publicist. Ollie moves back in with his father and tries to raise his daughter while he reassesses his priorities. He gains a new lease on life when he meets the beautiful video store clerk Maya.
