Plot

Andreas and Alessandro share a bond that stretches back to their childhood, a friendship nurtured amidst the ebb and flow of a bustling seaside resort. Each summer, they reconvene in their birthplace, the allure of the sea serving as a backdrop to their contrasting lives. Andreas, the introverted and unseasoned romantic, finds his polar opposite in the outgoing Alessandro, a character radiating with optimism, enveloped in a vibrant social circle and deeply committed to his girlfriend, Daniela. Despite the divergence in their paths - separate universities in different cities, the pair remain tethered by their shared roots and the summer reunion that brings them together again. As the season of sun and sea draws to a close, they prepare for their return to academic life. The sands of time run differently for the two friends - Andreas is on the verge of departure, while Alessandro awaits Daniela's familial obligations to conclude. In the twilight of their seaside sojourn, Andreas makes a poignant gesture - an envelope brimming with selfies, some dedicated with heart-stirring messages, left in Alessandro's mailbox. It's a silent confession, a yearning hope that Alessandro would finally perceive the love Andreas has harbored for him, a love hidden just beneath the surface of their friendship. The gift, a testament of unspoken feelings, marks a defining moment in their relationship, casting a new light on the summer that was.
