Plot

In the bustling world of Warner Bros., Arthur Trent, a seasoned producer, is grappling with a daunting task. He has brought on board the theatrical duo, Dennis Morgan and Jack Carson, for his upcoming musical masterpiece, "Mademoiselle Fifi". However, the duo's overblown acting style has made it tough to find anyone willing to collaborate. In a bid to ease the predicament, Trent appoints Carson as director, a move that further complicates the search for a leading lady, as Carson's reputation for hogging screen time is well-known. Meanwhile, Judy Adams, a green-eyed girl from a small town, steps into Hollywood, dreams sparkling in her eyes. Working at the Warner Bros. commissary, she yearns to make a name for herself in the world of cinema. Despite her fervor, the duo initially snubs her, until a desperate Morgan, to get the stagnant project rolling, suggests her as the ideal candidate. Though they face a steep climb in persuading Trent, they embark on a whirlwind of zany schemes, trying to present Judy as the potential starlet in front of the worn-out producer. As the story unfolds, Morgan and Carson eventually see the budding star in Judy and are determined to help her rise, even if it means sidelining "Mademoiselle Fifi". Now they must navigate the tricky terrain of aiding Judy's grand debut, while also considering her other priority – marrying Jeffrey Bushdinkle, her homespun fiancé waiting patiently back home in Goerkes Corner, Wisconsin. "It's a Great Feeling" is a comedic roller coaster, where dreams, ambitions, and hearts tangle in a hilarious symphony.
