Indriyam (2000)

Under the vigilant guidance of Prof. Shankaranarayanan (Raghavan), a band of curious anthropology students ventures deep into the enigmatic wilderness of Muthuvan Mala. Their mission: to delve into the long-forgotten tribal life that once flourished amidst the forest's silent whispers. Among them is an unsuspecting student, Sunny (Nishanth Sagar), whose innocent curiosity unwittingly awakens a dormant spirit: Neeli (Vani Viswanath). Smouldering with a vengeance that transcends time, Neeli is a spectral entity on a relentless quest for justice. Her spectral chains, forged by the ruthless hand of a member of the Thripangod royal family (Devan), who savagely ended both her and her lover's (Vikram) mortal lives, bind her. Now unleashed, her wrath begins to consume the students one by one, her spectral retribution leaving a chilling trail of death in its wake. As terror seizes the group and the forest's secrets turn sinister, they turn to their last hope: the seasoned sorcerer Vadakkedath Namboothiri (Prathapachandran). Summoned by the desperate pleas of the local police, he must face the vengeful ghost and try to contain the wrath that has been let loose. In the heart of the forest, a deadly dance between the past and the present unfolds, with the students caught in the crossfire of a spectral vendetta. Will they survive to tell the tale, or will they become part of the forest's forgotten lore?
