I Died a Thousand Times (1955)

Emerging from the shadows of an eight-year prison sentence, seasoned bank thief Roy "Mad Dog" Earle is granted a second chance at freedom. But the outside world isn't as free as it seems, as his old crime lord "Big Mac" entices him back into the underworld for one last lucrative heist. The grand mountain resort hotel is their prize, with the unsuspected help from inside man Louis Mendoza. Roy's motley crew of misfits consists of the fiery Babe, the stoic Red, and the captivating dance-hall dame Marie, who finds herself ensnared in a web of unrequited love for Roy. Yet, Roy's heart lies elsewhere, captivated by the innocent and limping Velma whom he's recently crossed paths with. Touched by her plight, he dreams of mending her foot ailment with his cut from the daring heist. However, as the plot thickens, the heist spirals far from the smooth operation they envisioned. The unfolding chaos threatens not only their freedom but also the future that Roy dreams of with Velma, leading to an unexpected climax that leaves the audience on the edge of their seat.
