Plot

The civil war engaged between Irish resistance fighters and the British military was largely seen in the form of firebombs and raids, but it played out dramatically in 1981 between the walls of Maze Prison. Located in North Ireland, Maze Prison was known both for its deplorable conditions and for the fact that it was being used to house some notable members of the IRA. Bobby Sands was one of those men, and he'd lead others in a hunger strike that would draw national attention and change the international conversation regarding the British occupation of Ireland. But it will have a dramatic impact on Bobby's body and mind.
