Hornblower: Mutiny (2001)

Imprisoned in a Jamaican jail, Horatio Hornblower receives a visit from Sir Edward Pellew, an event that sends him spiraling into the memories of the past six months. Aboard the HMS Renown as the Third Lieutenant, Hornblower finds himself under the command of the renowned Captain James Sawyer. However, the ship's reputation falters as madness slowly creeps into the Captain's mind, breeding cruelty and paranoia. As the Captain's delusions grow, his wrath particularly targets Hornblower and Midshipman Welland, turning the ship's atmosphere into a ticking time bomb. Meanwhile, Archie Kennedy, Hornblower's friend and the ship's Fourth Lieutenant, observes the Captain's deteriorating sanity with increasing concern.
