Plot

Meet Claude Hopper, the world's self-proclaimed finest kangaroo hopper, whose vanity is as high as his leaps and whose wit is markedly less sharp. When two cunning Scottish rabbits challenge his claim, the stage is set for a clash of hops and wits. A makeshift boxing ring becomes Claude's first battlefield, where he humorously entangles himself in the ropes due to his overconfidence and naivety. Next, the contest shifts to a long jump. Claude, unaware of the rabbits hitching a ride on his tail, is left flummoxed when they jump over him post-landing. An encore attempt is made without the added weight in his pouch, only to be foiled by the clever rabbits who've gummed his tail to the ground, leading to an amusing plunge into a river. With the rabbits unexpectedly washed up in his waterlogged pouch, the tables turn. They begin to coach Claude, transforming him from a laughing stock to a formidable hopper. His first launch from a seesaw sends him skyrocketing, ricocheting off a zeppelin, piercing through a meat price ceiling in a riotous sequence. Navigating the darkness with a match, he unwittingly draws anti-aircraft fire. Gifted a case of dynamite by the rabbits as 'ballast', he tumbles down onto Tokyo, marking the end of his soaring journey. With a dramatic climax, the question of who the true 'champeen' is finally gets answered, wrapping up this whirlwind adventure of 'Hop and Go'.
