Plot

Meet Sunny Malhotra (Vivek Oberoi), a 28-year-old acclaimed columnist known as Gyan Guru, dispensing advice to readers of the Times of Hindustan. He's also snagged an esteemed screenplay assignment for renowned director, Karan Johar. Sunny is a self-proclaimed cynic, his skepticism extending from his views on marriage to his fiancé Jenny (Ayesha Takia), to even the festival of Diwali. His life is a whirlwind of deadlines, dodging his irate editor's calls, sidestepping his nosy neighbor Pandey (Saurabh Shukla), and maneuvering a secret date with Maya (Mahima Chaudhary), the South Indian superstar he's been smitten with for as long as he can remember. In stark contrast is Michael Burnett (Boman Irani), a 51-year-old simpleton with a childlike demeanor, who's recently scored a job as a pizza delivery boy at Mummy's Pizza. Michael, infamous for losing every job he's had within two days, is determined to hold onto this one. His path crosses with Sunny when a forgotten grocery run leads Sunny to order a pizza on the eve of Diwali. This routine pizza delivery turns out to be anything but ordinary, as Michael ends up delivering far more than just a pizza to Sunny's doorstep. Sunny, a habitual freeloader, finds himself facing a unique challenge with Michael after repeatedly exploiting the pizza joint's 30-minute delivery guarantee. Michael's persistent presence initiates a domino effect in Sunny's life, leading him to lose his job at the Times of Hindustan, confront a potential break-up with Jenny, and grapple with the incomplete script for Karan Johar. Amidst this chaos, Sunny also finds himself in the crosshairs of a deranged antagonist known only as P3P (Page 3 psycho). "Home Delivery" is a comical, serendipitous journey of a cynical man who learns life's simple truths in the most unexpected of ways. Set against the vibrant backdrop of bustling Bombay and the festive energy of Diwali, this tale intertwines humor, drama, and a generous dash of romance, promising a delightful cinematic experience.
