Plot

In the heart of New York City, a young, talented artist becomes the unexpected recipient of an unusual inheritance. On the brink of his own matrimonial bliss, the artist is swept up in a whirlwind of events when he learns of his uncle's passing in exotic Constantinople. Anticipating a windfall, he instructs the executor of the will to liquidate the estate and send the proceeds, only to be left in a state of complete disarray. The inheritance, aside from his uncle's wives, dissipates entirely to settle the deceased's debts. The artist's world is turned topsy-turvy as he receives the shocking news that the wives, now his responsibility, are en route to his humble abode. Struggling to keep his pending nuptials intact, he attempts to disguise the wives as artistic models in his bustling studio, weaving a web of deception to keep his fiancée oblivious to the peculiar situation. However, the wives, with their colorful personalities and unfamiliar customs, insist on trailing after him, adding a layer of comedic chaos to his otherwise tranquil existence. His quandary escalates when his unsuspecting fiancée decides to pay a visit to his studio. In a stroke of luck, the artist stumbles upon a local theatrical company in dire need of oriental dancers after their previous performers deserted them. Seizing the opportunity, he integrates the wives into the theater company, providing them with gainful employment and, more importantly, extricating himself from a sticky predicament. As the curtain falls on this comedic saga, our artist breathes a sigh of relief, managing to reconcile with his fiancée and restore balance to his life, all while navigating the unexpected detours of his uncle's inheritance.
