In the sun-kissed tranquility of a small Californian coastal town, renowned crime novelist Jennifer Becker leads a life of luxury with her daughter, Lily. Their serene existence is interrupted one fateful day when Lily, while on her daily run, falls prey to an unexpected attack. Her peril is short-lived, as a mysterious savior, Mick, emerges from the shadows to rescue her.
