Hellbound (1994)

In the heart of the Crusades, King Richard the Lionheart triumphs over Satan's mythical envoy, Prosatanos, fragmenting his scepter into nine shards that are then safeguarded in hallowed locations worldwide. Decades later, during the 50's, unwitting grave robbers awaken Prosatanos from his eternal slumber. Fast forward to the bustling urban jungle of Chicago, 1994, where hardened Sergeant Frank Shatter and his astute partner Detective Calvin Jackson find themselves knee-deep in the dark underbelly of the city, investigating a rabbi's savage murder in a seedy motel, his heart chillingly ripped out. Their only clues in this enigma: a shard of the shattered scepter and a cryptic card bearing the names of Jewish merchant Krieger and the enigmatic Professor Lockley. Summoned by the Israeli Police for a mysterious hearing, Shatter takes the initiative to track down Krieger and Lockley, plunging deeper into the cryptic case. Along the way, they cross paths with Professor Lockley's captivating assistant, Leslie, who not only lends a helping hand but also finds herself inexplicably drawn to the stoic Shatter. As Shatter and Jackson peel back the layers of their investigation, they are plunged into a world beyond their comprehension — a world of supernatural forces.
