Plot

In the quaint solitude of Almeria, Spain, Oscar (Saenz de Heredia) finds himself marooned in the drudgery of life as a salt mine guard. His existence, as bland as the salt he guards, is punctuated only by the daily disappointment of an empty mailbox — a symbol of a letter perpetually awaited but never received. Life progresses in this monotonous rhythm until an unexpected ripple disturbs the stillness. One day, news arrives that his grandfather has been hospitalized, pulling Oscar's estranged sister Maria (Veronica Echegui) back from the bustling streets of Paris to their shared origins. With her, she brings Jean (Denis Eyriey), her boyfriend, whose efforts to maintain a chasm between the siblings hint at a maelstrom of buried secrets. A dark secret links Oscar and Maria, a secret Maria is desperate to keep shrouded. As it threatens to break the surface, an unsettling tension begins to seep into the siblings' relationship, casting long, grim shadows over their reunion. The narrative weaves a tale of secrets and strained bonds, pulling the audience into the heart of a family drama that will keep them on tenterhooks.
