On the precipice of the Mexico border, two inseparable friends, hardened by a lifetime of prospecting, embark on an unprecedented quest. Guided by tattered maps and ancestral legends, their pursuit is of a mythical ship, said to be swallowed by desert sands as the ocean bed turned to arid land eons ago. Now, this desolate landscape is the stage for a new form of gold rush, powered by ruthless Mexican drug cartels who employ a squadron of child aviators to transport their valuable payload - heroin, the contemporary gold dust. Suddenly, our protagonists stand at the crossroads of their long-held dreams, tantalizingly within reach, and the moral compass that has guided them thus far. They are faced with a choice - to safeguard their own lives or to gamble everything to liberate a young girl enslaved by the drug lord. GOLD DUST is an adrenaline-fueled odyssey of spectral ships and tangible treasure, mirages and lost children, shattered aspirations and forsaken love.
