In the shadowy recesses of Los Angeles, where ambition and darkness coalesce, lies 'Gasoline Alley' - a tattoo parlor owned by the enigmatic Jimmy Jayne. As Jimmy nurses a drink in solitude, he encounters Star, a seductive siren of the night whose allure is as piercing as the city's neon glow. Despite declining Star's propositions, Jimmy gifts her a token of his world, a Gasoline Alley lighter, unknowingly intertwining their fates. When daylight pierces through the city's grimy façade, it reveals a horrifying tableau. Star, along with three other women, has been savagely murdered in a motel room. The LAPD, represented by the tenacious detectives Vargas and Freeman, drags Jimmy out of his seedy haven and into the spotlight of suspicion.
