Fugitive Valley (1941)

Under the gritty guise of a notorious stage robber, "Crash" Corrigan (Ray Corrigan) infiltrates the dark underbelly of the Wild West, orchestrating a daring plan to unmask the Whip's gang—a ruthless pack of outlaws holding the countryside hostage from their impenetrable fortress in Fugitive Valley. Roped into a high-stakes game of deceit and danger, "Crash" winds up locked in a grimy cell, his only companion the taciturn "Red" Langdon (Bob Kortman), a suspected member of the Whip's gang. In an audacious display of camaraderie, "Dusty" King (John 'Dusty' King), a fellow Range Buster, springs "Crash" and Langdon from their confinement. Sheriff Warren (Tom London) plays his part in this daring ruse, setting the stage for an exhilarating journey into the heart of the outlaw's sanctuary. Once inside the fortress, "Crash" and Langdon must prove their mettle to the Whip's gang. A brutal bout with henchman Grey (Glenn Strange) cements "Crash's" reputation, and the pair are reluctantly accepted into the fold. As part of their initiation, they join the gang in a stagecoach robbery, unbeknownst to them that the only passenger is "Alibi" Terhune (Max "Alibi" Terhune), another Range Buster and a master of ventriloquism and magic. Back at the gang's lair, "Alibi" puts on a mesmerizing performance, all the while "Crash" and "Dusty" use carrier pigeons to relay the gang's plans to the sheriff. As the tension mounts, the Range Busters prepare to spring their trap on the Whip's gang. However, a shocking discovery that the Whip is none other than the charming Ann Savage (Julie Duncan), a benevolent healer from town, throws their plans into disarray. With the realization that the Whip's gang is composed of embittered settlers, victims of ranchland tyranny, the Range Busters must adjust their strategy, leading to a riveting climax in the heart of Fugitive Valley.
