Plot
In a world of faded glory and abandoned dreams, Roy Arnie clings onto his vision of owning a circus and reigning supreme. Today, he trudges through life as a stable hand in Circus Stromowski, a dilapidated Russian big top, helmed by Igor Stromowski, a perpetually inebriated fourth-generation circus director. This circus, a haven for washed-up performers and weary animals, seems to function only under the influence of various narcotics.
The plot thickens as Roy Arnie invites his old comrades, Gaz, Odd, and their sidekick Flea, to join the circus crew. Despite their unfamiliarity with the concept of work, an angry criminal to whom they owe money propels them into this new venture. At the circus, they meet the show's star: Jimmy, the elephant. Once a magnificent spectacle, Jimmy, after two decades in the circus, has become an addict, surviving on a cocktail of drugs to keep up his performances and remain manageable off-stage.
Jimmy, however, holds a secret – a secret that could finance Roy Arnie's dream circus. If only he could free Jimmy, his dreams would be within his grasp. But liberating an elephant, especially one as dependent as Jimmy, is not as simple as it may seem. Roy Arnie's aspirations hang by a thread when Jimmy, after a drug-fueled frenzy, is imprisoned and then escapes to the desolate moors.
As if this wasn't enough, a group of militant animal rights activists are also eager to liberate Jimmy from his life of servitude. Adding to the chaos, the Lappish Mafia, the ferocious villains of the north, have their eyes set on Jimmy's secret. What follows is a farcical odyssey where stoners, vegans, and mobsters, bolstered by a raucous hunting party, all vie to capture the dazed and confused Jimmy. In the midst of this mayhem, the only potential roadblock to their plans is an unusually empathetic moose. Dive into this chaotic whirlwind, where dreams, secrets, and a drugged-up elephant collide in a symphony of absurdity and adventure.
