Bill has aspirations to be a professional writer but is currently unemployed and following people to study their behaviors as a hobby that borders on a compulsive habit. When he begins to follow a burglar named Cobb through the streets of England, Cobb notices — and after some convincing, he takes Bill under his wing. Cobb has a unique approach to committing crimes, and Bill offers a useful pair of eyes and hands to assist with his schemes. But Bill makes the mistake of mixing pleasure with his newfound business. It's a decision that throws both his professional and personal lives into disarray.
