In the cinematic journey of Fly High (2009), we follow Si-bum (Kim Beom), a young man fueled by dreams of the spotlight and stage. A chance encounter introduces him to Su-kyoung (Kim Byul), a girl whose radiant spirit captures his heart in an instant. As their love story unfolds, Si-bum becomes Su-kyoung's sanctuary, offering her an escape from the hurdles of a strenuous relationship with her father and the heartache of her mother's death.
Just as life seems to find stability, a tragic accident leaves Su-kyoung seriously injured. Overwhelmed by desperation, Si-bum finds himself ensnared in a web of deception, stealing money for Su-kyoung's recovery, and landing a job in a bar catering to the city's affluent young women.
Harnessing his dormant acting talents, Si-bum begins to weave a web of illusions, depicting a far more glamorous life to ease Su-kyoung's worries. His charisma doesn't go unnoticed, and as his popularity soars, he's lured by the promise of greater fortune in Seoul, alongside his friend Young-ho.
But fate has a twist in store. An unexpected reunion with a figure from his past plunges him into a violent confrontation, threatening to shatter the world he's so carefully constructed.
