Plot

In the pulsating heart of Brazil's federal capital, Brasilia, a shadowy figure named Carlos 'Beque' Batista, an international drug lord, reigns supreme. His web of illicit activities sends shockwaves through a terror-stricken populace, and his name echoes ominously in the corridors of law enforcement. "Federal" is a high-octane exploration of a country unwittingly transformed into a critical conduit for global drug trafficking. At the frontline of this relentless battle against crime stands Vital (Carlos Alberto Riccelli), a seasoned deputy of the Brazilian federal police. He's the lynchpin of an elite investigative unit tasked with bringing down Batista. His team is a mosaic of talent, each member handpicked for their unique abilities. Dani (Selton Mello), a youthful federal agent, brings his knack for infiltrating the drug-infused underbelly of Brasilia's society. Streetwise cops Lua (Cesario Augusto) and Rocha (Christovam Neto) offer their local knowledge and savvy, invaluable tools in this deadly game of cat and mouse. Lua, a man from Vital's past, also brings a shared history and mutual trust to this volatile mix. Each member of this unconventional squad juggles the demands of a life beyond their perilous occupation. Their leader, Vital, must navigate the divergent personalities and backgrounds of his team while keeping their sights on the ultimate prize - Batista. "Federal" plunges into the murky depths of a nation's drug crisis through the eyes of those determined to end it, revealing a world where the fight for justice is as personal as it is perilous.
