Plot

In the glittering world of stardom, Go Joo-yeon, played by Kim Hye-soo, is a seasoned actress who has always basked in the limelight. Accustomed to the plentiful rewards of fame, wealth, and adoration, she has never lacked for anything, including a string of handsome, younger lovers. However, as she navigates her 40s, her once sparkling career starts to lose its lustre, prompting her to consider settling down with her clandestine boyfriend, a rookie actor who is more interested in leveraging her fame than in love. When she uncovers his betrayal, Joo-yeon is left heartbroken and yearning for a dependable presence in her life. In a twist of fate, she decides to have a child, only to be blindsided by the revelation of her menopause. Amid her sorrow, she stumbles upon a pregnant teenager, Kim Dan-ji (Kim Hyun-soo), at the hospital. Seizing the opportunity, Joo-yeon proposes to adopt Dan-ji's unborn child, providing financial support in return for her discretion. As Joo-yeon publicly announces her 'pregnancy', in a bid to get back at her self-serving ex-lover who is now on the ascent, the rumor mill begins to churn with speculations about the child's paternity. Yet, her declaration of singlehood and motherhood is met with admiration, triggering an unexpected surge in her dwindling career. Blinded by her newfound success, Joo-yeon starts to overlook Dan-ji, and as suspicions mount, she finds herself on the brink of a precipice, her carefully constructed world threatening to crumble. This tale of a woman's struggle for love, validation and motherhood is a poignant exploration of the blurred lines between perception and reality in the world of stardom.
