Face of Evil (1996)

In the thrilling narrative of Face of Evil, the tale unfolds on a night meant for celebration. On the eve of her wedding, the cunning Darcy Palmer, barely out of her teens, depletes her soon-to-be husband's financial reserves and vanishes into the labyrinth of New York City. Her journey takes a sinister turn when she crosses paths with Brianne Dwyer, a naive freshman en route to a prestigious New England college. In a chilling twist, Darcy murders Brianne, usurps her identity, and seamlessly slips into her vacant spot at the university, eliminating anyone who dares obstruct her path. Darcy's ambitions grow bolder when she becomes infatuated with her roommate Jeanelle's affluent, grief-stricken father. To monopolize his attention during his campus visit, she poisons Jeanelle, incapacitating her with illness. As suspicions begin to mount, Jeanelle confronts Darcy, who chillingly confesses to a series of murders and identity thefts. A terrifying confrontation ensues, with Jeanelle's father making a timely intervention to rescue his daughter from the clutches of the malicious Darcy. However, Darcy's insatiable thirst for deception and destruction isn't easily quelled. She manages to escape, only to be apprehended on the verge of ensnaring her next unsuspecting victim. Face of Evil takes its viewers on a suspense-filled roller-coaster, reminding us that danger often lurks where we least expect it.
