Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone (2007)

Humanity has managed to persevere despite the appearance of huge and highly destructive creatures known as Angels, but it hasn't come without a cost. An agency known as NERV is their last defense, and the giant robots they use to fight the Angels require teenage pilots to work. Shinji Ikari is the latest of these pilots, and rumors quickly come to develop that he could be the sort of talent to turn the tide of the battle permanently. But Shinji will need to connect with his fellow pilots in addition to learning how to channel his unique skills as a pilot.
