Chen Xiaomeng, a struggling theatre actor, finds life a tragic play without a final curtain call. His professional aspirations crumble, his romantic pursuits are met with heartache, and even his attempts at suicide end in failure. Amidst the chaos, he seeks solace in the serene tranquility of a local bathhouse, aiming for a dignified farewell. However, destiny has a twist in store.
An accidental slip on a soap bar sends a fellow bathhouse patron into a deep, unsuspecting coma. Seizing the moment, Xiaomeng swaps lives with the unconscious man, hoping for a peaceful escape. But his quiet end turns into an adrenaline-fueled ride as he discovers the man is a notorious assassin. With his new identity comes a lethal job – to accomplish the assassin's unfinished missions.
Meanwhile, the memory-robbed assassin awakens in a hospital, convinced he's Xiaomeng, the defeated actor. With the aid of Li Xiang, a compassionate single mother, he embarks on a journey to piece together his supposed past and step back into the spotlight. As they navigate through this unexpected script of life, a bond blossoms between the false actor and Li Xiang.
However, this dramatic comedy of errors takes a perilous turn when the real assassin's memories resurface. As the truth unravels, their lives intertwine in a labyrinth of complexity and revelation.
