Plot

In the mythical universe of Earthsea, a realm of a thousand and one islands, the equilibrium of power and magic delicately hangs in the balance. Governed by priestesses, led by the High Priestess Thar, they safeguard the land from the malevolent Nameless Ones, confined within the tomb of Atuan. Yet, the power-hungry King Tygath, driven by the promise of immortality, conspires to unleash these demonic forces, manipulating his mistress Kossil to poison Thar. Unaware of the looming darkness, on the island of Gont, a young blacksmith's son, Ged, dreams of a life beyond his mundane existence. His journey propels him towards the island of Roke, a sanctuary for those seeking to master magic.
