Earthquake (1974)

In the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles, a complex web of personal stories tangle and twist. At the heart of it all is Stuart Graff, a construction engineer caught in a love triangle between his obsessively possessive wife, Remy, and the alluring widow of a former colleague, Denise Marshall. Remy, in a desperate bid for control, seeks the aid of her father, Sam Royce, who also happens to be Stuart's authoritative employer. At the same time, on the city's fringes, Lew Slade, a once-respected lawman, nurses the bitterness of suspension from the Los Angeles Police Department. His offense? Assaulting a fellow officer, whose incompetence he could no longer bear. Contemplating his future, Slade teeters on the edge of abandoning his career in law enforcement entirely. Meanwhile, in the city's underbelly, Jody, a grocery store manager with twisted desires, obsessively pursues Rosa Amici. Rosa, however, is more concerned with her brother Sal, who assists Miles Quade, a thrill-seeking daredevil with dreams of motorcycling stardom. Yet, as these intertwined lives unravel, a seismic terror looms on the horizon. An earthquake of catastrophic proportions rocks Los Angeles, turning the city into a canvas of chaos and destruction. The tremors shatter more than just the city's skyline, as they bring ruin to the lives of our characters, forever altering their destinies.
